Shipping and returns
How a part reaches you, what it costs to get it there, and what to do if it arrives wrong or you do not need it.
Dispatch and lead time
We hold no stock. Every order is bought in from our supplier when you place it, so the lead time on a part is the time to get it to us, not a shelf it is sitting on.
A lead time is confirmed on enquiry. It is our best estimate of when the part is ready to dispatch, not when it lands with you โ add the transit time below. Once it ships you get tracking.
Supplier delays and customs can move a date. If yours moves we tell you rather than letting it run past quietly.
Getting it to you
- Standard carrier
- FedEx Priority
- Others
- DHL and the major carriers on request
- Your own account
- Yes, we can ship billed to you
- Terms
- Ex works
- Transit
- Typically 5 to 14 working days after dispatch
Ex works means shipping, insurance, duties, taxes and any handling charges are yours from the point of dispatch. Prices we quote exclude them.
Orders shipped outside the UK may be charged duty, import VAT and a clearance fee by the destination country. Those are payable by you, not by us, and they are not something we can quote in advance.
Once an order is dispatched it cannot be cancelled.
If a shipment goes missing
If a parcel does not arrive
Tell us, and we will open a case with the carrier and chase it with them. They run a formal trace to establish what happened to the parcel, and that takes time. What happens next depends on what the trace finds, and we will tell you either way.
If it arrives damaged or wrong
Tell us within 7 days of delivery. Photographs of the damage and the packaging help, and sometimes the carrier requires them.
We arrange a replacement or a full refund at no cost to you, including the carriage back. You do not pay to return something that should not have arrived in that state.
This is not a warranty claim. A part that arrived wrong is our problem; a part that failed in service is a different process โ see warranty and claims.
Returning something you do not need
You can return a part within 30 days of delivery for a refund or a credit, provided it is unused, in resellable condition, and complete with its original packaging. Do not write on or label the part's own box โ put the paperwork on the outer packaging.
- Made-to-order items cannot be returned unless they are faulty
- Return carriage is yours, unless the part was wrong or damaged
- Use a tracked service โ until it reaches us it is still your parcel
- Tell us first, so we can tell you where to send it
Refunds go back to the method you paid with. How quickly the money appears is down to your bank or card issuer and is outside our control.
Returning a core
A remanufactured part carries a core deposit: the old unit is worth money because it gets rebuilt. Send it back within 30 days of delivery and we refund the deposit in full.
After 30 days we do not refund it, and the part is simply priced as outright. That is what it would have cost without a unit coming back, so nothing is being taken from you.
The core has to be complete and rebuildable, to the manufacturer's core standard. A unit stripped for parts, or with a damaged body, cannot be rebuilt and will not be accepted.
If a part fails
That is a warranty claim rather than a return, and it works differently: the part is inspected by the manufacturer and their judgement decides it. See warranty and claims for what happens and what to expect.
